Pinaree Sanpitak to create Glass Sculpture at Museum Residency in Toledo, Ohio
16 Oct 2014
Thai artist Pinaree Sanpitak will create a glass sculpture during her tenure as the Guest Artist Pavilion (GAPP) resident artist at the Toledo Museum of Art in Ohio, USA. The new work will be displayed at the museum from November 2014 to November 2015.
The Toledo Museum of Art’s GAPP program highlights the unique nature of the Glass Pavilion by encouraging experimentation with glass in innovative ways. GAPP artists, chosen by the GAPP committee which consists of staff members of the Museum, alternate between those intimately familiar with using glass as a primary medium, and those for whom the medium is a new opportunity.
