Open Sea

On view from 17 April to 12 July 2015 at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Lyon, France, Open Sea is an exhibition of 30 newly commissioned and existing artworks and performance pieces by Southeast artists, that defines the contemporary psyche, aesthetics and inter-connectedness of Southeast Asia. The exhibition is curated by Thierry Raspail (France) and Khairudidin Hori (Singapore), and features works by region artists including Pinaree Sanpitak and Navin Rawanchaikul (Thailand), and Nge Lay (Myanmar).

Open Sea is part of the 3-month long Singapour en France – le festival (Singapore Festival in France), co-organised by the National Heritage Board (NHB), the National Arts Council and Institut français, and supported by Singapore’s Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as France’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, and Ministry of Culture and Communication.
