Alvin Ong: Projected on National Gallery Singapore Facade

5 Aug 2020

To commemorate Singapore’s 55th year of independence and our spirit of resilience in a challenging year, the façade of National Gallery Singapore will be illuminated in the national colours of red and white in a show of solidarity.

Home to the country’s national art collection, the exterior of the Gallery’s veiled canopy facing the Padang will feature projections of 60 original artworks by artists in Singapore, including Alvin Ong’s Dondang Sayang and Sayang.

The light-up is a show of unity by local arts and cultural institutions as the country marks National Day in a tough year, taking place daily from now till 30 August, 7pm to 12 midnight.
