Singapore Art Museum takes to the water in its latest exhibition
3 Jun 2016
Isabel and Alfredo Aquilizan are one of the artists featured in an upcoming exhibition titled “Odyssey: Navigating Nameless Seas” at the Singapore Art Museum.
Opening on the 4th of June, the exhibition looks at the unfathomable depths of the ocean’s mysteries, as seen through the eyes of contemporary artists. In this exhibition, Isabel and Alfredo Aquilizan examine the Filipino diaspora with their work Passage III: Project Another Country, which consists of a life-sized boat stacked with cardboard structures reminiscent of the boxes that Filipino migrant workers would fill with objects to send home to their families.
